Oscars - Fashion Hits and Misses

The Best dressed of the evening went to (wait for it.. ) Miley Cyrus!! Her dress was absolutely gorgeous, and a very bold and a fashion forward choice for a teen girl!

Number 2 on my Best Dressed list is Natalie Portman. The colour was so lovely for her olive skin tone, and her hair and makeup complimented the look every so nicely.

Kate Winslet rounds out my Best Dressed list. I love the two materials and the belted one shoulder Goddess style. She looks so classic here.

Worst Dressed of the night

Beyonce wins my award for worst dressed of the night. Not only does she match the Oscar, (as she always seems to do), that leaf pattern is an eyesore. Her makeup and hair are too minimal for her.



As much as I love my girl Queen Latifah, her choice in dress could have been better. While the colour is nice and it flatters her skintone, the assymetry of the bodice is causing some problems for her 'girls'. One looks much more pronounced than the other. It almost looks as though the one strap was cut off last minute.

America's Best Dance Crew 3 is down to the top 3! And the results are just as I called it in one of my earlier posts....

While I really like the style and level of breaking that Quest Crew brings, and think they are great, ABDC needs an all girl crew to take the title this season. And who better to take it than Beat Freaks. The last performance they did to a Katy Perry track and they KILLED it.. OMG.. they are so sick. They bring breaking, choreography, sexiness and flavour. They can DANCE! Fly Khicks are going to be the next to go, but those girls got energy for days. They work hard, but are not on the same level as Quest Crew and Beat Freaks. I can't wait for next week's show !!!

Me and my friends at work always joke about the whole Team Jolie/ Team Aniston thing. Eventually, conversation gets to the 'Hollywood Babies'. A debate always ensues. I am the only one at work that seems to think Shiloh is cuter than Suri! I know these are babies, and all babies are precious, but that little Suri is a weird little thing. Shiloh looks like a cherub to me.. and I'll admit that I'm in love with her adorable face. How can she not be gorgeous.. Hello.. Angelina and Brad?!?

Welcome to Dreamland

So I had the chance to check out the six or so episodes of 'Welcome to Dreamland' on Peachtree T.V out of Atlanta. A reality show that is looking for the next Queen of Dreamland. The battle comes down to the two producers and who can make the better star. The well known Jazze Pha up against the lesser known Drumma Boy. In the end the underdog Drumma Boy one with his production of the up and comer 'Leaf'. She represented a different genre of music. To me, she was a mix of India Arie, Erykah Badu meets Cyndi Lauper and Sheila E. I loved her style and her talent. Glad she won...

Here was the runner up Khia with Jazze. Typical 'Beyonce' type beauty with the pretty voice. The girl had no rhythm and smiled like a horse.

What's Old is always New again.. someday

I recently went to the Great Wolf Lodge with my husband and my son. While on a break from the water park, we hit the arcade. My son had collected tickets for prizes and what he picked out surprised me, and brought me way back to my childhood. He picked out jelly bracelets and slinky bracelets. When I was little, my friends and I would go to this cool store called 'Neat Stuff' and buy up tons of bracelets in neon colours and wear them halfway up our arms. And so.. my son bought me some orange and pink jelly and slinky bracelets at the Lodge and I wore them with pride, as he wore his in green and blue.
